Intake screener is completed with the educational therapist and parent to gather information about presenting concerns

Our education therapist package includes 8 sessions of targeted interventions based on assessed needs, S.M.A.R.T goals, and education therapist expertise. In other words, targeted treatment goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

During the initial session, benchmark educational therapists gather baseline data for the S.M.A.R.T goal(s). To establish baseline data to gather progress against, the education therapist may use formative assessment data, naturally occurring data (e.g., homework completion, assignment, and test grades, etc.), checklists, or direct behavior ratings (i.e., Likert scales), etc.

The Bylund Clinic utilizes evidence-based interventions and research-based strategies to support the client’s academic skill development and school performance.

Post Intervention Assessment and Consultation
Following 8 to 16 sessions of intervention, the education therapist will measure the client’s progress against S.M.A.R.T. goals using the same measures as used at baseline. The education therapist will then meet with the client and/or parent to discuss their progress during a 45-minute consultation call (by phone, Zoom, Google Meets, or another remote platform).
